Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1976. Σπουδές: ΒA (Hons)- Wimbledon College of Art, ΜΑ- Central Saint Martins College of Art, School of Motion Picture- Helsinki. Υποψήφιος διδάκτορας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Έχει διακριθεί από: Βρετανική Ακαδημία (AHRB), University of Surrey, Institute of London και από τα ιδρύματα: A. Σ. Ωνάσης, Βαρδινογιάννειο, Προποντίς, A.G.Leventis, Σπυρόπουλος και B. & E. Γουλανδρή. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει μεταξύ άλλων I AM LI-eaVING στο Royal Opera House-Covent Garden 2003. Συμμετοχή σε εκθέσεις: Κέντρο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Θεσσαλονίκης, Ευρωπαϊκό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Δελφών, ΑΣΚΤ, Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Κρήτης, Εθνικό Θέατρο της Αγγλίας- Linbury Prize 2003, γκαλερί, site-specific projects, ανεξάρτητους εκθεσιακούς χώρους. Έχει σχεδιάσει μεταξύ άλλων για το Εθνικό Θέατρο, Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή και το Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών. Από το 2007 επιμελείται την διεπιστημονική διοργάνωση και έκθεσης BLIND DATE#12 όπου εικαστικοί έως τώρα έχουν συνεργαστεί με συγγραφείς και ερευνητές φιλοσοφίας- blinddate12.blogspot.com. Από το 2004 διδάσκει στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου/ Ναύπλιο και στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών.
ADONIS VOLANAKIS
Born in Athens in 1976. Trained at: ΒA (Hons)- Wimbledon College of Art, ΜΑ- Central Saint Martins College of Art, School of Motion Picture- Helsinki. PhD candidate at the University of Athens. Scholarships/ Distinctions: AHRB, University of Surrey, London Institute and foundations: A. S. Onassis, Vardinogiannio, A.G.Leventis, Propontis, Spyropoulos, B&E Goulandris. He has directed among other I AM LI-eaVING at the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden 2003. Has exhibited in: Centre of Contemporary Art/Thessaloniki, European Cultural Centre of Delphi, ASFA, Contemporary Art Museum of Crete, National Theatre London- Linbury Prize 2003, galleries, site-specific projects and independent exhibition spaces. He has designed amongst other for the National Theatre, Greek National Opera and Athens Festival. Since 2007 he curates BLIND DATE#12, a collaboration project and exhibition, where contemporary fine artists had collaborations with writers and philosophy researchers- blinddate12.blogspot.com. He lectures since 2004 at University of Peloponnese/ Nafplio and at the University of Patras.
MARTIN ALEXANDER CARLÉ (Germany/Greece) is a media scientist, musicologist and philosopher. 2003-2008 he taught Media Theory assisting the establishment of the Media Studies Department at Humboldt-University Berlin. 2009 he moved to Athens where he works on his PhD »Augmented Phenomenology«. For his studies on epistemology and computation in ancient Greek music theory he earned a grant of the Onassis Foundation 2010. Research topics cover music technology, para-sementics, time-critical simulations and acoustic archaeology. Recent publications include: Signalmusik MKII (Kadmos, 2006); "Time of the media" & "parasémantiké techné: music notation as a paradigm of Greek medially", in: Media before the Media (Fink 2007); "Song and Island of the Sirens: travelogue of a media archaeological research expedition", in: Klangräume der Kunst (Kehrer 2010); Cat-Notation [with Joulia Strauss] (Merve 2011).
MARTIN ALEXANDER CARLÉ (Γερμανία /Ελλάδα) ειναι θεωρητικός των μέσων, μουσικολόγος και φιλόσοφος. Από το 2003 εως το 2008 δίδαξε θεωρία των μέσων στο Πανεπιστήμιο Humboldt, Βερολίνο, τμήμα Media Studies. Απο το 2009 ζει στην Αθήνα, όπου εκπονεί διδακτορική διατριβή με τίτλο Augmented Phenomenology. Για τις σπουδές του πάνω στην επιστημολογία και τον υπολογισμό της θεωρίας της αρχαίας ελληνικής μουσικής, ειναι υπότροφος του ιδρύματος Ωνάση, για το ακαδημαικό έτος 2010. Τα αντικείμενα της έρευνάς του καλύπτουν τα πεδία της τεχνολογίας της μουσικής, της παρασημαντικής, των χρονικών προσομοιώσεων και της ακουστικής αρχαιολογίας. Η ΝΑΝΤΙΑ ΚΑΛΑΡΑ ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε Καλές Τέχνες στο Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών του ΑΠΘ και στο University of East London, School of Art and Design (ΜΑ). Είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτορας του τμηματος αρχιτεκτόνων του πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας. Από το 2003 διδάσκει Εικαστικές Τέχνες στο τμήμα αρχιτεκτόνων του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας. Εκθέσεις και συμμετοχές της περιλαμβάνουν: Beton7, Αθήνα (2011), Museum of Freud’s Dreams, St. Petersburg (2010), Art Athina (2009), the 2nd Athens Biennial (2009), 7th Architecture Biennial, Sao Paolo (2007) όπως και πολλές ατομικές και ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και τη Μ. Βρετανία.
Βασική καλλιτεχνική πρακτική για την Καλαρά αποτελεί η περιήγηση στο ελληνικό περιαστικό τοπίο. Η εμπειρία αυτή συνδιαμορφώνεται από την προσπάθεια αναπαράστασής της. Το τοπίο κατασκευάζεται τη στιγμή που διατρέχεται.Το φωτογραφικό μέσο αποτελεί για αυτήν το κατ’ εξοχήν μετά-μέσο. Η φωτογραφία δεν είναι ένα αντικειμενικό καταγραφικό εργαλείο, αλλα χρησιμοποιείται ως αυτόματη εγγραφή του βλέμματος στην ύλη. Χρησιμοποιεί την ευελιξία και την δυναμική του για να οικειοποιηθεί και να επεξεργαστεί πτυχές της πραγματικότητας οι οποίες μπορεί να επανασχεδιάζουν ή και να ανακατασκευάζουν αυτήν την πραγματικότητα. Στη δουλειά της συναντά κανείς επίσης σχέδια, γλυπτικά αντικέιμενα, ηχητικές εγκαταστάσεις, ψηφιακό video, 3d max animation και κείμενο. Η σχέση των μέσων αλλά και η διαφορά τους εμπλουτίζει την πρόσληψη του έργου.
NADIA KALARA (Athens, Greece), studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and University of East London (MA). Since 2009 she is a doctorate candidate at the University of Thessaly. Since 2003 she has been teaching visual arts at the University of Thessaly, department of Architecture. She also taught visual arts at the University of Patras, department of Architecture. She participated and taught in international workshops of art and architecture (UIA, Istanbul, Center of Mediterranean Architecture, Crete, AOO projects)
Solo and group shows include the Museum of Freud’s, St Petersburg (2010), Art Athina, (2009), the 2nd Athens Biennial, (2009), 7th Architecture Biennial, Sao Paolo, (2007) and several group and solo shows in Greece and Great Britain.
Touring – mainly to the Greek suburban landscape- is also an important artistic practice for Kalara. This experience is formed by the attempt of its representation. The landscape is constructed the very moment it is traversed. The resulting art works are an attempt to understand this double simultaneous construction and they are considered to be temporary stops or pauses in this movement. For Kalara, the photographic medium is the post-medium par excellence. Photography is not an objective recording tool for her. Its versatility and dynamics are used not in order to objectively record reality but rather to reshape and reconstruct it. Besides this special focus on photography, one might also come across other media in her work, such as drawing, sculptural objects, sound, video and text. The perception of the artwork is enriched by the ways these media are related as well as by their difference.
ΠΑΝΟΣ ΚΩΣΤΟΥΡΟΣ
Ο Πάνος Κωστούρος είναι φωτογράφος και τα τελευταία χρόνια ασχολείται με ψηφιακές οπτικοακουστικές εφαρμογές. Έχει σπουδάσει φωτογραφία στην Αθήνα/ Focus και μόδα στο Λονδίνο/ London College of Fashion. Μέτα από μια πολύμηνη συνεργασία με ένα εκδοτικό οίκο στο Dubai/ ITP, επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα για να αναλάβει την παραγωγή και εκτέλεση δυο οπτικοακουστικών εφαρμογών/ Δήμος Δομνίστας, EU. Τον τελευταίο χρόνο διδάσκει Ιστορία της μόδας στην σχολή Pansik και πειραματίζεται με την ανάπτυξη διαδικτυακών εφαρμογών/ www.
PANOS KOSTOUROS
Panos Kostouros works on photography and digital multimedia applications. He has studied Photography in Athens/ Focus and Fashion Photography in London/ London College of Fashion. After several months of collaboration with an English Publishing House in Dubai, he returned to Greece in order to produce and execute two multimedia application, which included two Documentaries, about Greek History. He holds a faculty position for the past year, where he teaches History of Fashion at Pansik School of Fashion/ Athens and experiments on web application/ www.Η ΚΛΕΩΝΗ ΜΑΝΟΥΣΑΚΗ είναι καλλιτέχνης που χρησιμοποιεί διαφορετικές μορφές τέχνης. Πήρε το πρώτο της πτυχίο στις καλές τέχνες από το Columbia College Chicago και το Master της από το Interactive Telecommunications Program στο Tisch School of the Arts του New York University. Η δουλεία της βγαίνει από την άμεση ανάγκη της για επικοινωνία με τους ανθρώπους και ένα θαυμασμό για την πραγματικότητα. Η δημιουργική της πρακτική είναι μια σύνθεση μεταξύ performance art, video και εγκατάστασης. Χρησιμοποιώντας στοιχεία από διαφορετικούς κλάδους, διερευνά τις διαφορετικές σχέσεις και τα όρια της κάθε μιας.
Έχει παρουσιάσει τη δουλεία της διεθνώς, σε μέρη όπως το Brooklyn Museum, τη γκαλερί Αγκάθι, το Center for Digital Art στο Israel. Η Κλεώνη Μανουσάκη έχει συμμετάσχει σε residencies στο Experimental Television Center και στο The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. KLEONI MANOUSSAKIS is a Greek multimedia artist. She completed her B.A. at Columbia College Chicago and her M.A. at Tisch School of the Arts at N.Y.U. where she studied Interactive New Media.
Her works stems from a need for communication and an admiration for reality. In her work uses elements from many different disciplines, to explore their different relationships and the boundaries of each one. Her videos have been exhibited in festivals in the US, Europe, Asia and venues such as the Brooklyn Museum of Art. She has taught at the Interactive Telecommunications Program, New York University and at Parson’s School of Design. She has held residencies in the Experimental TV Center and the Manhattan Cultural Council. www.kleoni.net

Γεννήθηκε στη Μιννεσότα (ΗΠΑ) το 1985. Αποφοίτησε από το Yale University (New Haven, CT) με BA in Art (2006). Σπούδασε φωτογραφία και χαρακτική στο Columbia University School of the Arts της Νέας Υόρκης (2006-7), και ζωγραφική στο Salzburg Summer Academy of Fine Arts (2007). Εργάστηκε στη UBS Art Banking για τη διοργάνωση του Art Basel στην Ελβετία το καλοκαίρι του 2006. Εργάστηκε και μαθήτευσε στο στούντιο του Peter Halley στο Chelsea της Νέας Υόρκης από το 2007 έως 2008. Εκθέσεις και συμμετοχές: παρουσίαση στα 'Sunday Salons' της Louise Bourgeois στο Chelsea της Νέα Υόρκης (2007), The Circle of the Moon στο Casa Internazionale delle Donne στη Ρώμη (2008), στη χοροθεατρική παραγωγή "Το Βήμα Της" στο Θέατρο ΔΙΠΥΛΟΝ (2008), στα ROOMS 2009 με τη Γκαλερί Καππάτος (2009), Surprise ΙΙ με την ArtAZ.gr στην Τεχνόπολη Δήμου Αθηναίων (2010), παρουσίαση εργαστηρίου στα Athens Open Studios (2010). Worked at UBS Art Banking for the setup of Art Basel in Switzerland in the summer of 2006. Interned at Peter Halley's studio in Chelsea, New York from 2007 to 2008. Στην δουλειά της περιλαμβάνονται εγκαταστάσεις, φωτογραφία, βίντεο και performances. Το ενδιαφέρον της κινείται πάνω στην διαδρομή-διαδικασία ενός έργου που γίνονται με επανάληψη για την καταγραφή περιβάλλοντος και γεγονότων. Αυτές οι διαδικασίες συχνά αφορούν καθημερινές ασχολίες όπως το μαγείρεμα και κοινωνικές συνθήκες όπως η φιλία και η συνεργασία.
Παράλληλα από το 2005 εργάζεται στο χώρο σχεδιασμού και κατασκευής επίπλων.

Σπούδασε ψυχολογία στο Sussex University και γλυπτική στο Camberwell College of Art and Design. Το 2002 άρχισε την καλλιτεχνική ομάδα Darling Woman Productions. Τέσσερις καλλιτέχνες που οργάνωναν εκθέσεις και δημιουργούσαν σαν ομάδα αλλά και χωριστά. Το 2004 μετακόμισε στη Νέα Υόρκη όπου δούλεψε στο τμήμα επιμέλειας της γκαλλερί Pace-Wildenstein, με την επιμελήτρια Bernice Rose. Το 2008 ασχολήθηκε με τη προ-παραγωγή και την παραγωγή της μαγνητοσκόπησης του συνέδριου Interdependence Day (www.civworld.org) που έγινε στις Βρυξέλες.
Τα τελευταία τρια χρόνια ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Ως μέλλος της ομάδας Troo Food Liberation (www.troofoodliberation.com) ασχολείται πολύ με τη σχέση που έχουμε με το περιβάλλον μέσω της τροφής. Η δουλειά της δέχεται πολλές επιρροές από τη φύση. Όχι μόνο σε επιφανειακό επίπεδο αλλά και σε λειτουργικό. Από τα κύρια θέματα που την απασχολούν είναι οι αντιφάσεις που βλέπει να συνυπάρχουν παντού γύρω της. Τις βλέπει στη φύση, στον άνθρωπο, στον ίδιο της τον εαυτό. Πιστεύει πως είναι σημαντικό να χρησιμοποιεί όσο είναι δυνατόν ανακυκλωμένα και ανακυκλώσιμα υλικά.

In 2004 she moved to New York to work in the curatorial department of Pace Wildenstein Gallery with the curator Bernice Rose. In 2008 she worked on the pre-production and production of the documentation of Interdependence Day (www.civworld.org) in Brussels.
The past three years she has been living and working in Athens, Greece. She is part of the collective Troo Food Liberation (www.troofoodliberation.com), encouraging people of Athens to re-connect with the environment and their food. Her art is very influenced by nature on the surface as well as on a deeper level. She mostly uses re-cycled and biodegradable materials. One of the reoccurring topics that interest her is duality, opposites co-existing in nature, in people, in herself.
